I realized I havent even shown the new dist on here or on youtube. Actually I haven’t shown it fully anywhere. Since you’re reading the blog you get to see it first and in a much different way than any other platform I would show it on. I haven’t kept up with these blog posts for a long time but I enjoy doing this more than any social media platforms. I think its because before all that this is what we had and everyone did it. I would check all my favorite skate and car blogs for the newest photos, videos and stories everyday. Much cooler time back then there was no content creator shit it was just for fun. My old blog and everyones is still there too which is cool to be able to look back at. No, Im not going to link you to it.
So I’m pretty much all settled in now but still need to clean up the garage and finish my room which is another story for later. For the past month Ive been working non stop on Karuma vs. Boost Brigade which we tied in our anniversary with. I only had about a month to do it and I’m never agreeing to that such short of notice again. The whole purpose was to drop the collab we did with boost brigade and probably should have just did that. Since we had a spot to host an event we just added our anniversary in there. We normally have it with VJC tires but since it gets so big we havent had it for the last 2 years and theres been no other spot we can think of that would accomodate all those cars. But talked to Ivan and we might do 1 more. So the 3 people reading this, just know its in the works. So the event was cool but it wasnt like VJC at all. Which was expected but still thankful that GReddy let us host something there. If you havent seen the collaboration go check it out on the shop or previous posts.
I’ve been printing and making stuff again and I think thats why I have so little time now. A bunch of this shit takes too long which I realize thats why I dont print anymore so I just went in a circle. But I wanted to get hands on again because thats what started the brand and its just cool to see it come to life. It also saves money cus you dont have to buy a lot of 1 thing. So Ive been making stuff to order and just a lot of samples of different random things. I think Im going to put up a collection on the shop that will be the stuff I only made 1 of and let you guys have a chance to get some rare 1 of 1 Karuma pieces. Danny came of this night and helped me get ready for the show and we printed some coasters, keychains, and shot glasses. I recently got a sublimation printer and the stuff is endless on what you can do. Some things come out really good and others pretty shitty. I want to have these random items available even though they might not sell as good or have nothing to do with a car because it shows personality and character in a brand. I sampled somethings like a mini baskethoop, flip flips and some other kitchenware but what automotive lifestyle brand is making flip flops, or cutting board or lunch box? Yea none because they probably arent hands on and can print or they would have to order at least 100 or something and also cus they just make tee shirts and car stuff. Kinda boring sometimes only doing that. I like to make something that I need and I need a fly swatter so up next is that.
So we printed those and I got some skateboards in for the show. I usually print a few to give as thank yous to whoever we did the event with cus everyone likes a skateboard. I also like to throw one out at the end so everybody gets a chance to have a limited piece to take home. I used to try to get the skateboards and the shirts when they would throw it out at the skate events which is why I do it. We used to all look forward to that part and the feeling of catching something and going home with it is just dope and youre happy that you spent the day there and had fun. I hope everyone who went to the meet had fun thats always the goal. I made awards this time since Im banned from making a wheel trophy and now the latest horse shit is I can no longer make a championship belt. Which I was about to do for this event too. But its because someone thinks I copied them and they did it first and I dont want no problems to start cus hes already making it a big deal but I think think thats some little kid shit to be mad over that. Whatever pretty lame. But I was able to get a TOP 8 done and printed but the other awards that I had in mind never came and the shipment kept getting delayed. I even ordered another set to see if they would come in time so now I have a bunch of these picture things but Ill make use of them somehow.
