The first banger we ever had was the OG Style Shop tee with Danny’s LS and Freddie’s SC. After I finished printing the first one I knew it was gonna pop off. I printed a good stock of them before I released it, probably around 50. After that every night I printed more to keep up with the orders. I left those screens on that press for a couple months and let it ride. I remember this tee is what made me stop printing (in a good way) and outsource to a professional. I enjoyed screen printing a lot but its a full process that takes a long time to do it correct. My feet always hurt from constantly standing and for the ink to print the best, its gotta be humid. Doesnt sound enjoyable but I look back and would do it all over. Seeing a design go from an idea, to digital artwork, print each color and watch it come to life, is a high only an artist would desire. Putting it on and wearing it, gave pure evidence of what I wanted Karuma to offer, the reason for all of this, and what I’m always talking about… THAT FEELING~
I dont know why I havent done another style shop tee but I knew this was the right idea to release with our new tees. These are always fun to design and from the feedback I recieved, it definitely made the cut for the banger list. I want to make a style shop tee for each city we have ridahs in now. Its a great feeling knowing how many of you support and wear Karuma in the wild. Thank you all!
I know it’s been a while since we’ve dropped new tees but there’s a perfectly good reason! I’ve been in search of a perfect blank tee for years, which is why our tees kept switching. Each time I thought we found the one, it would turn out lacking something. So the only thing left to do was make our own!
We wanted something heavyweight and at the same time breathable, but also something that we could trust after a wash. Made sure the neck isnt choking you but never gonna give you bacon neck. Most importantly added an extra inch to the length cus we aint rockin no wide body crop tops around here.
